Ubauro has a deep-rooted history, dating back to the 18th century when it was inhabited by rebel Baloch tribes. In April 1864, Pannu Khan, along with Dashti and Shar tribes, attacked Kot Sabzal from Ubauro with 600 men, leading to casualties on both sides.

During the Mughal era, Ubauro was listed in Ain-i-Akbari as a pargana under sarkar Multan. It contributed a revenue of 915,256 dams and supplied 30 cavalry and 500 infantry troops. Historical records indicate that the southern boundary of sarkar Multan was located near Ubauro.
