The Green Credit Program, launched by the Punjab government, provides residents with an opportunity to earn up to Rs. 100,000 for purchasing brand-new electric motorcycles. Incentive Structure
The Green Credit Program disburses the Rs. 100,000 reward in two installments:
- First Installment – Rs. 50,000: Paid upon successful verification of the electric bike and registration.
- Second Installment – Rs. 50,000: Granted after completing 6,000 kilometers within six months, tracked via the official Green Credit mobile app.

Application Process
Applicants can follow these steps to register for the Green Credit Program:
- Prepare Documents: Collect CNIC, bike purchase receipt, registration card, chassis number, bike photos, and bank account details.
- Register Online: Submit your application via the official portal: greencredit.punjab.gov.pk.
- Verification: A government representative will conduct an in-person verification of the bike and documents.
- Install Green Credit App: Download the mobile app to track your bike’s usage.
- Travel 6,000 Kilometers: Complete the required distance within six months using the app.
- Receive Incentive: Upon verification, the second installment will be credited to your bank account.
Environmental Impact
The Green Credit Program is part of Punjab’s strategy to reduce transport-related carbon emissions. Key targets include:
- Conversion of 2,000 petrol motorcycles and 250 other vehicles to electric alternatives in the current fiscal year.
- Annual reduction of 8,000 tonnes of carbon emissions.
- Transition of 30% of the province’s transport fleet to electric vehicles by 2030, contributing to a 20% reduction in transport emissions.
