The Punjab administration has sanctioned the elevation of 200 evening schools, enabling them to progress from primary level to advanced grades.
According to official information, more than Rs. 470 million has been earmarked for the venture. Out of these, 64 institutions have been taken up under a pilot scheme, while another 136 schools will be uplifted in the current stage. The Finance Division has already disbursed an initial installment of Rs. 100 million for execution.

The project will be implemented from April 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027, with District Education Authorities instructed to submit periodic reports regarding fund utilization.
