Pakistan vs Bangladesh Do or Die Clash in Dubai during a packed stadium cricket match with players in action under stadium lights

So Pakistan took down Sri Lanka without much drama, but then could not get past India, and now both Pakistan and Bangladesh are hanging by a thread. Everything comes down to their big clash in Dubai on Thursday. Win or go home. Simple as that.

Now here’s the thing. Bangladesh keeps shuffling their players like a deck of cards trying to figure out who fits where. Before they played India they made a bunch of changes and even now they still do not seem too sure about who belongs in their best eleven. Pakistan though is a bit more settled. Sure they have got their own set of issues especially with the batting lineup but at least they’ve kinda figured out what’s working and what’s not. Only that one middle-order spot held by Hussain Talat seems up for grabs. Hasan Nawaz and Khushdil Shah are both warming the bench and waiting for a call up.

Bangladesh got a tight schedule though. This match will be their second one in two days. And they’re dealing with injuries too. Litton Das might not make it due to a knock. They have been swapping players around frequently to try to find the right combination. One thing that did click though was their bowling against India. Gave away just 96 runs in the last 14 overs. Saif Hassan smashed another fifty back to back but apart from him nobody else showed up with the bat. The fielding was pretty sharp though. And with big names like Taskin Ahmed and Mahedi Hasan left out against India who knows if they will be brought back in for this big one.

Pitch Talk:

Scoring hasn’t been easy out here. The ball kinda sticks to the pitch which makes it tricky for batters. So yeah, expect a fair fight between bat and ball.
