The Electric Bus Service in Sargodha was officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on 19 September 2025, introducing a new era of eco-friendly transport and modern mobility solutions in Punjab. Phase-Wise Deployment
The rollout of the Electric Bus Service in Sargodha is planned in two stages:
- Phase-1: 33 buses are currently operational.
- Phase-2: Another 15 buses will be added soon.
In the long term, the fleet will expand to 60 electric buses within Sargodha city, with a total of 105 buses across the Sargodha Division.

The fleet consists of Yutong buses, manufactured by the Zhengzhou Yutong Group, featuring lightweight materials, aerodynamic design, and a high-strength safety frame. Passengers benefit from Wi-Fi, charging ports, air conditioning, CCTV, and GPS tracking, ensuring comfort and security.
